A drum, a rodeo and a walk around the house.

Pookie had her very first parade and did great.  She was nearly frozen solid by the time they were done, but, she had fun.  She's the one with the drum covered in red garland.

They didn't have enough uniforms for the whole band, so the drumline had to wear tuxedos, without the jackets.   Poor Pookie had so many clothes on under that outfit, I'm shocked she could move at all.  She has on at least 3 outfits there.  She did great though, they all did.  The high school band wimped out because it was snowing and they didn't want to get their instruments wet .. but when I heard the drumline start up from a block away, I would have sworn it was the high school band. I thought they'd changed their minds and were going to make an appearance.

In other news, the Blazer (affectionately called "The Big Red Death Sled") is our very newest lawn ornament. I'm thinking of stringing lights up on it, or perhaps wrapping it in garland, just to be festive.
The grandparents drove up the other day in a nice little SUV and asked if I wanted it.  I accepted, of course!  That Blazer wasn't gonna last much longer .. not for me anyway.  A mechanic would be able to afford it.  The parts themselves aren't that pricey when it needs repairs ... but the labor will drain ya dry.

So, anyway, here's my new toy

It's a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo.  We pronounce it "Ro-Day-Oh"  because we're high class like that.  You can tell from my white trash bathtub in the flower bed and the Death Sled lawn ornament =)

That's about it for now, I think.  My brain is all melty from sleep deprivation.  I had a prowler the night before last.  He came up on my porch and then took a walk around my house, left footprints in the snow all the way, and seemed to pause at a couple of the bedroom windows, which I found yesterday morning.  Needless to say, I didn't sleep last night.

Now I'm not freaking out anymore... I'm just really tired and ticked off.
I dare 'em to try to get in my house now.
I have a pair of crutches that'll put the hurt on someone.

I wish someone would give me an SUV. The man-van needs new tires.

I still think you should call Trpr. ThumperBunny & put him on ur own personal surveillance detail. I think you'd enjoy being surveilled!

This is a great site you have here. I just found it from a friend's page. I have a humor blog as well and I'd like to exchange links with you. This will spread some traffic around between us. Let me know if this is cool.

CptnDA: The Big Red Death Sled is a bit needy. It needs an axle, a windshield, new window motors, 4 new tires ... and those are just the things it needs before it would pass inspection. I was all over that Rodeo when the grands brought it lol

PG: I am NOT calling Trpr ThumperBunny. I have a crutch already :p

Amy: I love it too! It's so cool to have a car that runs .. all the time lol

Meatbag: Thanks for dropping by. Pookie absolutley loves the drums! She ended up bruised from the drum whacking her in the thighs, but otherwise had a great time.

Jason: Thanks! Fine with me if ya wanna link :)
