Walk Like You Have Somewhere to Go, by Lucille O'Neal

I received this book from Booksneeze.com on Friday and read it on and off between bouts of homework ;)  This is the story of Lucille O'Neal's journey, from being whisked away from her mother at a very young age to the woman she is today.  She is quite candid about her upbringing, her family and her feelings about both throughout, as well as her faith in God and how her relationship with Him has brought her to the place she is today. The pages are peppered with a mixture of her great love for her children and her love for God, as well as many pieces of scripture throughout. I especially love that Lucille speaks with great respect about her emotionally distant grandparents, her verbally stunted father, and even the husband that she divorced. In an age where children blaming their parents for everything is all the rage, Lucille is a breath of fresh air.  This book is not really a "page-turner," it won't have you on the edge of your seat, but rather gives the feel of a lazy afternoon on the porch conversation.  It's a pleasant, light read and a very inspirational story that will warm the heart.  It would be a great gift for anyone feeling a bit lost, or stumbling in their faith.

I received this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of BookSneeze.com Blog Review and these are my honest opinions.
